Christmas Party

E-mail Print PDF

Saturday, December 19, 2009.

Yes, it's that time of year again!  The cold air has descended from the deepest darkest areas of the North Pole.  Rudolph's nose is red with the chill that we find blowing all around.  The Scotties run around leaving little footprints in the freshly laid snow...... yeah right, this is Florida.  Not a lot has changed really in the last few months except for the lessening of the daylight hours.

Should you choose to venture out this Winter there is one place where members of the Scottish Terrier Club of Tampa Bay will be very welcome......and that is at Laurie and Dennis Slaters' home for the annual Christmas party!

Please be sure to RSVP  :  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

Please come.. bring family, friends, dog lovers..

Directions are included with the event

If you have items to donate to the boutique, this would be an excellent time to box them up and bring them alone.  The boutique needs to be replenished with collectibles.

Server Moved

E-mail Print PDF

The site has moved servers!  This means the old Dot Net Nuke version is gone and we've permanently moved to this new Joomla! version.

Why ? There are five reasons:

  1. It's technical and you don't care about that reason
  2. It's response will be FASTER
  3. It's cheaper
  4. It's something that will be easier to "share"
  5. It's cleaner looking.

I would love to have multiple members contribute and if you send your e-mail to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it and I will set you up as a "Author" which will let you create articles and get them published!  The club does a lot of rescue work and it will be great to have that outlined.

There are a couple of things that are still to do.  Firstly, I need to redo the sitemap so that Google can understand and create a new indexed layout. The any bugs, kinks or errors need to be ironed out.  I also need to migrate the auto-notifications on the requests to make sure the right people get the right questions, and finally notify previously registered users that their id's are no longer valid - I wish I had done this before I shut the site down: what's that they say about hind-sight being 20-20?

Hopefully you will see much more interaction and information from the club.

It's important that we all spend a little effort.  I've got one keen person who will hopefully help out to keep this more interesting and with more in the way of updates.

Tomorrow I will be adding an interesting Earth Dog event so look for that!
